So at the start of today's inaugural parade, you may have noticed the above float, representing our new President's adopted home state of Illinois. It's shaped like the state, and only has two cities depicted on it: Chicago and Springfield. Because, of course, the rest of the state is a horrible, barren wasteland, spat upon by God! (And it's pretty clear the float was designed by a Springfieldian, or we wouldn't have made the cut, either!)I get what the White Sox mascot is doing there, representing Chicago (Obama's a Sox fan? He really is an elitist!) but the hideous mutant Lincoln puzzles me.
We haven't had any problems with one of those since that tanker full of Trioxin wrecked near Oak Ridge Cemetery back in '82!
